Blood Opium is a paranormal, detective story set in San Francisco, two days before the 1906 earthquake. Edward Morgan has enjoyed a short yet successful career with the SFPD’s Homicide Division utilizing talents passed down from his ancestors. The only person aware that Morgan solves murders employing these gifts was Lieutenant Henry Regnault, until a blood drinking, opium smuggler make plans to commandeer Morgan’s talents for his own greedy purposes.
